Google Play: Purchased In-App item not received - what to do?

If you are buying in an application from the Google Play Store an additional content or service, but the In-App item not received, you can take action against it. In our practice tip, we will explain how you can request the In-App item, or reimburse the amount paid to let.

For some of the Apps in the Google Play Store, you can buy additional content or services. This can be, for example, an in-game currency or additional levels. Such content and services are referred to as "In-App items" and the purchase of such articles as "In-App purchase". If you make an In-App purchase, is the developer of the application is responsible for ensuring that you receive the item.
  • If you do not receive an In-App item, it can be due to a technical error. It is not a bug, you should contact the developer. However, if the developer does not respond, display the amount paid by Google to report to.
  • Follow the below solution, chronologically, to receive either the purchased In-App item, or, if you do not receive the item, the amount of money of Google refund.

1. In-App item not received? Error fix!

If you have not received the purchased In-App item after a reasonable time-frame, you should not check whether it is a technical error. To do this, proceed as follows:
  1. Open on your Android Smartphone or Tablet the main menu of the application "settings" and under "device" to "Apps" or "manage Apps".
  2. First, select the App in which you have made In-App purchase, and tap with your Finger on the button "force Quit".
  3. In a last step, select and start on your device, the App in which you have handled the purchase and check if the article is now available on your account.

If that was not transferred In-App article, in spite of Troubleshooting on your account, please contact the App developer about the lack of content or service via E-Mail.
  1. To do this, open on your Android device, the Google Play Store application and search for the App by entering the name of the application in the search.
  2. Now select the App from all search results and scroll down the detail page of the application to the section "provider" down.
  3. Under the category of "provider," you can usually find the website, the E-Mail address, as well as the privacy policy of the App developer. Send the developer an E-Mail with your customer number, your name and a note of the In-App item you have not received.

3. The amount of the In-App-purchase, Google will refund

If neither the technical problem leads to the contact with the App-Enmtwickler that you will get your purchased items, send Google an E-Mail and request a refund.
  1. Register first on your Computer with your access data in the Google Play Store and click on the following Link to see the amount of Google refund to let.
  2. On the bottom you will find a form that you fill out, in order to reimburse the amount paid. Fill in all necessary text fields and the Checkbox with the note "Yes, and I am aware [...]" with a check mark.
  3. Once you have given all the necessary information correctly and your information is checked, click on it with the left mouse button on the "Send" button to the complaint.
