No power: So you put even without an emergency
If you book in Germany for a mobile phone tariff, you are bound to the network of a given operator. Currently, there are three different network operators: Telekom, Vodafone and O2.
- You have no reception, if you want to make an emergency call, you can still try to dial 112. The phone will then automatically connect to the network, which is locally the strongest. Please note that the police emergency call 110 usually is not possible!
- None of the three networks available, you can no emergency stopping. The mobile phone can then communicate to the outside world.
- In Germany and in other European countries such a total funk holes are very rare today. Almost always one of the networks is accessible.
- Should it happen that you can settle any emergency, you should go for a walk with your phone and then try again. Usually you get within a few hundred meters back to the reception.
- Important: in the past, were also able to make emergency calls without eigelegte SIM card in the phone to be disposed of. However, this led to many abuses and is no longer possible today. A SIM card you need in any case.
