Preview of the Windows task bar, zoom in - so it goes

The preview in the Windows taskbar is very handy - you can zoom in to take a closer look at the programs in the Background.

To enlarge the preview, you need to take a look in registry editor:
  1. Simultaneously press the keys [Windows] and [R] or search via "Start" the command "run".
  2. Type "regedit" and press the [Enter] key. Now the registry editor will open.
  3. Navigate in the left folder HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer bar to the following path:/.
  4. Now select the folder "task band".
  5. Right-click a free area to the right of the window and select "New" then "DWORD value" (or "DWORD-value (32-bit)" for 64-Bit operating systems).
  6. Enter the value of the name "MaxThumbSizePx" and press [Enter].
  7. Open the just created value with a double click and select in the Dialog "Decimal" instead of "Hexadecimal". In the field "value" enter the desired width of the preview (the height adjusts automatically). The value of 400 should suffice in the rule.
  8. Click "OK". To notice the Changes, you must log off your user and log back in or restart the Computer.
