iTunes: Here, you can find the Backup files
Depending on your operating system, you can find the Backups in a different location:
- All Mac Users will find the Backup folder within the Home Directory: "~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/" (see Screenshot).
- Users of Windows 7, 8, and 10 are in the path "C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\" will find it. Replace the section [USER] with your current Windows user name and copy the path in the address bar of Windows Explorer.
- Some Changes in the path there is in Windows XP; here is the correct Link: "c:\documents and Settings\[USER]\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\ is". Proceed otherwise as in the other versions of Windows.
- Note: do not be surprised about the name of the folder. Most of the Backups are named by very long strings. A folder for the Backup of a device to a specific point in time.
