Ubuntu: airplane mode does not shut down - what to do?

  1. Click in Ubuntu at the upper right edge of the Wi-Fi icon and click on "enable network" and "wireless network enable".

  3. To turn Wi-Fi on via the Terminal, enter the command "sudo rfkill unblock wifi".
