Practical Skype Commands
Skype commands will help you to keep your chat the Overview. You can use the commands without the brackets:
- /alertson [Text]: With this command you can enable Chat notifications only when a certain Text is included in a new message. With "/alertson Berlin" you will be notified only if the word "Berlin" is mentioned in Chat.
- With /alertsoff disable the notifications again.
- With /find [text] you can search for a particular term or phrase in the Chat.
- /me [Text]: With this command you can leave your current Status next to your user name will appear.
- /get options provides you with the actual options for the Chat.
- /setrole [Skype Name] MASTER assigns the presenter role, in addition to other Chat members.
Skype-commands for group chats
In groups with many members, the presenter can quickly lose the Overview. With Skype commands for group chats, you get order.
- With /add [Skype Name] add people to the Chat.
- /get admins to show you the people who manage the Chat.
- The command /get role shows you which role you have in the Chat.
- /showmembers provides you with a list of all chat participants.
- With the /kick [Skype Name] can moderators remove people from the Chat.
- With /leave you even leave the Chat.
