In this practical tip we show you how to insert character in OpenOffice a protected space.

OpenOffice: insert non-breaking space

A non-breaking space prevents that a space between two words at the end of a line is a line break.
  • The fastest way to paste the Nonbreaking space by pressing the key combination Ctrl+shift+spacebar.
  • Alternatively, you can find the Option by clicking on "Paste" under the "formatting marks". Simply click on the "Nonbreaking space" (see image).
