x64 and x86: What's different?
- The names of x64 and x86 refers to the processor Chips of computers. x64 processors are more powerful and support under Windows, which are also more powerful 64-Bit Version of Windows. x86 processors, however, support only the 32-Bit Version.
- The 64-Bit versions of Windows to run much faster, since not only the x64 processor brings higher performance, but more memory can be used.
- Nowadays are hardly ever shipped a Computer with 32-Bit versions, since x86 processors are always installed less frequently.
- There are also problems with the compatibility between the 64-Bit System and individual programs, as well as not more. However, there are still some older programs, which you can use with a 64-Bit Version.
