Archive encrypt files 7-Zip with password

Install the 32-Bit or 64-Bitversion of the program, depending on what CPU your Computer has.
  1. You open 7-Zip and go to the directory where your encrypted file is located. Click on "Add". Alternatively, you can click in the Windows Explorer, the encrypted file by right-clicking. Then select "7-add To Zip" -> "archive".
  2. In the opened window, you specify an archive format "zip". Under "encryption", enter a password in the two fields, and then click "OK".
  3. Now click on a file in the encrypted folder, you will be asked to enter a password.
  4. You can also unzip the entire folder. To do this, click with the right mouse button on the archive file and select "extract All". You are then asked to enter a password. Alternatively, you can use 7-Zip to Unzip. To do this, click with the right mouse button on the folder and select "7-Zip" -> "extract files...". In the opened window, enter your password and click "OK".
