Windows Firewall: add exception - so it goes

A program is being blocked by the Windows Firewall, you can allow it by Adding a exception again. Our guide will show you the exact procedure.

Windows 10: an exception in the Firewall add

The following instructions apply to Windows 10. Under older versions of Windows you'll be comfortable as well.
  1. Open the control panel and select, under the category "System and security" "Windows Defender Firewall" from.
  2. Now click left on the Option "use An App or Feature through Windows Defender Firewall to allow it".
  3. Here you will find all of the applications that are monitored by the Firewall. You will not find the desired program in the list, you can add it via the Button "Other App" option.
  4. You put the left side of the program a hook, and on the right side of the hook for public and private networks.
  5. Via the Button "OK" to save your settings and exception added.
  6. Note: you Cannot set the hook, you must click above on the Button "change settings".
