Lightroom face recognition: how it works

Thanks to the face detection in Adobe Lightroom you can tag the detected faces with a name. How this detection works exactly, we show you in this practical tip.

Face detection in Adobe Lightroom – so it works

  1. You start the program as usual and click on "view".
  2. Once there, select "people" to start the face detection.
  3. You can then select whether you want to in the entire catalogue, or to specific faces search.
  4. Select search in the "faces in the entire catalogue" and wait until the search is completed.
  5. The detected faces are displayed in a list which you can name.
  6. You just have to click in the text box under the image to give the image a name.
