Duplicates to sneak in quickly in iPhoto and are hard to come by. You but consume unnecessary memory space. We will show you how you will find this the easiest way, and then remove.

iPhoto find duplicates

The easiest way you can make duplicates with the App "Duplicate Cleaner For iPhoto" to find. Download this therefore, from the MacAppStore.
  1. Open iPhoto and wait to load up the program completely. Then, you can start the App "Duplicate Cleaner".
  2. Wait a Moment until the program has detected iPhoto. This is also indicated by a green check mark.
  3. Then click "Next" and select in the next window, your iPhoto library. You can find this usually in the pictures folder on your Mac.
  4. Now the program should automatically scan the library for duplicates. Don't click around at the best in iPhoto, that program is very easily prone to error. If after some waiting time an error message appears, just click again on "Find Duplicates". On the second attempt, it works, actually, always.
  5. After the program has their library searches, display all the duplicates in a list.

To remove the duplicates

  1. You can select each photo in the list and decide which photo you want to keep from both of you. The photo will be deleted at the hook.
  2. Then click below right on "Move to iPhoto's Trashcan". The duplicates will be moved to the trash in iPhoto.
  3. You can now close the App Duplicate Cleaner. If you want to delete the duplicates permanently, go to iPhoto in the Register "recycle bin" and click the top right on "empty recycle bin". Then the photos are deleted.
