Dialogs in GIMP to dock - so go ahead
- Start GIMP and go to "Windows" > "Dockable Dialogs". There you will find all the Windows that you can dock to the Toolbox. If you click an entry, it will appear in a separate window. An example is selected in the Screenshot "Brushes".
- Your Toolbox should not be displayed from the beginning, you can activate this by pressing the key combination [Ctrl] + [B].
- Now, drag the Heading of "Brushes" in the lower part of your Toolbox. You recognize the area of his blue coloring, as soon as you want to dock a window.
- As soon as at least one Element is docked in the Toolbox appears next to the Dialog, a small arrow. You reach the function "Add Tab", with the help of which you can reach the same menu as in step 1. In this way, you can arrange more Windows in the Toolbox, and switch between them.
- You need to sort the window, but not necessarily in the Toolbox. Also in the dockable dialogs, you will find the same arrow as in step 4 (highlighted in red). Now, you could show, for example, in the window "Brushes" with the "Layers", all layers in a Tab.
