Loop in After Effects setting – so it works
- Start After Effects and drag the Video into the program, which you want to add to the effect.
- By using the key combination [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [C] create a so-called sub-composition of the Videos.
- The existing attributes, you can then simply Drag&Drop them onto the new composition and apply it.
- You make the connection, right-click the Video and select "time" > "time distortion".
- Press and hold the [Alt] key pressed and then click the stopwatch.
- An input box will appear. Enter the command "loopOut(type="cycle")" and confirm with "OK".
- As a result, the specified Video will be repeated permanently. With the command "loopOut(type="pingpong")" the Video is alternately in the Forward and backward movement is repeated.
- The end point of the video, you have to pull then back, in order to generate the so-called Loop.
