Outlook appointments for importing or exporting

In this practical tip we show you how to export your appointments to Outlook and import.

Outlook: exporting appointments

In the following guide, we will export individual appointments as well as the whole calendar. An alternative guide to exporting the entire calendar, you will find in this practical tip.
  1. Open Outlook and click on the upper left edge of the window, click the item "file".
  2. Select the Option "save to scheduler". Then a small window will open.
  3. First select the desired location for the calendar file and specify an appropriate name.
  4. Now click on the Button "More options", the specific dates to be determined.
  5. In the category of "date range" you can select all the appointments that occur today, tomorrow or in the next 7 or 30 days. Alternatively, you can also export the whole calendar or only events in a certain period of time.
  6. Under the category of "Details" you can decide now which information is to be exported. You can use the exported calendar itself and select the Option "All the Details" - otherwise, you can restrict the information.
  7. Via the Button "OK" and "Save" will create the calendar file in the desired location.

Outlook: - import appointments

  1. Open Outlook and click on the upper left edge of the window, click the item "file".
  2. Select the menu item "Import/Export". You may need to select the previously Open category "and Export".
  3. There is a small window now opens. Here, select the Option "iCalendar (. ICS) or vCalendar file (. VCS) import" and click "Next".
  4. Then locate the calendar file and click the Open Button.
