Office 2016 vs. 365 are the differences
Basically, the two offerings differ in the fact that you buy Office 2016 is unique, whereas Office 365 is an annual subscription model.
Office 365 includes the programs Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access. These are regularly updated with Updates to the latest Version. In addition, you can use this program on multiple devices and with multiple people at the same time.
Office 2016 includes, depending on the package, only the basic Office programs, like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. These will not be supplied with new Updates, and are usually only for 1-2 devices simultaneously available.
Which package is worth it for you depends on your user behaviour. As a single person, which only requires the standard Office programs, Office 2016 is the ideal choice. If you want to Office, however, full functionality, always up to date, or for several people to buy, you need Office 365.
