Excel: cells with content count - so it goes

In this practical tip we will explain how to count in Excel, the cells with content. We will show you three different ways.

Number of cells with content count

If you want to count in Excel, the number of cells with contents, then select the following function:
  1. You write in a cell "=ANZAHL2([value1];[value2];...)".
  2. Select the best of the area in which the cells are to be counted.
  3. The cells with content are counted automatically and the sum is displayed.

Number of cells with Text count

If you want to count the number of cells that contain Text, then use the following formula:
  1. The formula "=COUNTIF(range,"*") " counts all cells in the Text.
  2. For the range you simply mark the point in the table to be counted.

Numbers in cells together

Of course, you can also count the Numbers in different cells. To do this, use the "=SUM(range)"formula.
