QuickTime for Mac: screen recording with sound - so it goes

With QuickTime, you can start the screen recording on your Mac normally, only without sound. We will show you how it works even with sound.

QuickTime: screen also with sound recording

  1. Download the application SoundFlower and install it.
  2. You can use the top right search, and type "sound flower". You start the application.
  3. You can find the App now at the top right in the menu bar. Here you can activate the Option "Built-In Output".
  4. You can open the System-settings and select the category "sound".
  5. Under both "input" and "output" to decide for "SoundFlower (2ch)".
  6. Now start QuickTime, click in the top left under "file" click "New screen recording" and start recording. It is now stored in a velvet tone.
