A lot of MacOS Users are looking for an Option to auto-Arrange the desktop icons. This is already the well-known Windows functions you can enable via the view options of your desktop. We will show you how it works.

Automatic arrangement of the Desk-icons under MacOS

Your icons you can now auto-arrange. For this, you only need to activate a function in the display options.
  1. Hold the mouse cursor on your desktop Background and press the right mouse button. As a secondary click for your Macbook Trackpad set up, you can learn here.
  2. In the menu that appears, select the box "show view options".
  3. Now you see the Option "sort". Press this button, and then select the "align to Grid".
  4. Now your Desk will be arranged the icons automatically.
