A PDF in preview on Mac OS X appears to be out of focus, this could be due to the automatic font smoothing. We will show you how to solve the Problem.

PDF files are supported by Mac OS X out of focus

  1. Click on the top left in the menu bar, click the Apple icon and select the "system settings".
  2. Click on the category "General" and look for the Option "use LCD font smoothing when available".
  3. Disable the Option. Then the font will not be smoothed automatically and thus remains sharp.
  4. Note: Alternatively to this manual, you can also use other Software such as the Adobe Reader require.
