Mac OS X: how to disable notification center

Anyone who feels the notification center in Mac OS X Mountain Lion as a nuisance, you can disable it. How to do this, read here:

The OS X notification center disable constantly

The notification center turn off in OS X Mountain Lion permanently, is a little bit of work required:
  1. In the Finder, select in the menu bar "Go" -> "Go to folder".
  2. Now enter in the search field in "/System/Library/CoreServices/" and then click [Open].
  3. Here you need to Use "notification center.app select". You hold the option key [alt] pressed and click once on the file name to rename the file (e.g., "message center-off.app").
  4. Now open a terminal window. To do this, click on the magnifying glass icon for Spotlight and type "terminal". Then click on the Option "Terminal".
  5. In the terminal window enter the command "killall notification center" and then press the [Enter] key. The notification center is now disabled.

The OS X notification disable Central only temporarily

You want to disable notification center temporarily, you can turn them off until 24:00 of the respective day. The following day, the message will be activated automatically again.
  1. Repeat the above steps 1 and 2.
  2. You hold the option key [alt] pressed and click on the notification center icon at the top right of the menu bar.
  3. Alternatively, you can also scroll in the notification center at the upper end of the window and the sliding switch is set to [0] set.
