Dashboard in Mac OS disable
The Dashboard allows you to uninstall, but at least with a simple Terminal command to disable.
- To do this, start the Terminal. Search search it's best in the Spotlight.
- Now enter in the Terminal window, type the command "defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean YES" without the quotes and confirm the entry with the Enter key.
- Then run the command "killall Dock". Now, the Dashboard is disabled and is not loaded after a reboot.
- If you want to enable it again, you need to simply type the command "defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean NO" and "killall Dock" to enter. Then you can access the Dashboard.
