Step counter in the mobile phone: How is that possible?
- The step counter in the Smartphone to use the micro-electric-mechanical System, or MEMS. It is a Sensor of the movements to the left, to the right and to the front registers. The same technique also in the case of Airbags.
- In conjunction with a suitable Software, the respective movements can be interpreted. There is a step showing a different pattern of movement than a jump or Sit down on a chair, the steps quite well from other movements delimit.
- With newer Smartphones which have a MEMS Sensor, the step counter is therefore relatively accurate. In the case of older Smartphones, the Gyro is for this Sensor is in use, the registered in the normal operation, the Tilt of the display to switch to the Landscape screen mode. Thus, the steps can also include, however, only very inaccurate.
