You have a Domain with a Hosting package at Strato, you can play your web pages via FTP to the Server. To do this, you need to set up only access.

The data on the Server to transfer, you will need an FTP program such as Filezilla. The FTP access you need to create in advance at Strato self.
  1. Log in with your access data at Strato, and you switch to your Hosting package.
  2. In the left side menu, click "databases, and Webspace" to "FTP access management". Click on "create New" to have an FTP access set up.
  3. In the Following, you can choose a user name free and on the selection of the Domain set, to include the FTP access to. In addition, you can define the password for access.
  4. Click on "Save", to set up the new FTP access.

After the FTP access at Strato is set up, you have to log in with the data on a FTP-program on the Server. In our example, we use Filezilla.
  1. If you start Filezilla, you need to tell the program which Server it should connect.
  2. In the field "server name" enter "ftp.strato.de" or alternatively, "ftp.strato.com".
  3. In the "user name" use the name that you have chosen in step 3 of the first section, as well as procedures in using the password.
  4. Click on "Connect", the program will connect to the Strato Server and you can create directories and data play.
