Password protection: Joomla site with. htaccess protect

- Open the Online Generator to create the files.
- Fill in the fields with the path of your directory, a user name and a password. As path enter the path of your Joomla-page.

- Download the two files htaccess and htpasswd to your Server in the appropriate directory of your Joomla-page. Make sure that the directory you have specified in the Online Generator.
