Game of Thrones based on the fantasy epic "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R. R. Martin. The series is not yet finished and Fans have been waiting a long time for the publication of the sixth Bands. The first season was, for the first Time from 2. November 2011 up to 4. January 2012 in Germany broadcast. It is based on the first book in the series, "A Game of Thrones".

Also, this season is not based on a already published novel, but on the planned seventh and final part of the literature series by George R. R. Martin.
