USB-Stick: Too little memory when Copying it
If your computer complains that the USB Stick has too little storage space, although the proof is enough space, copy and maybe one for older formats large file. This is usually the case, if you want to copy files larger than 4 GB on a USB-Stick. So it works:
- Format the USB Stick from FAT32 to NTFS. Click in the workspace with the right mouse button on the drive, select "Format..." and then as "NTFS" file system. Now you can copy larger files without problems on your USB-Stick. Please note that Formatting will erase ALL data on the Stick.
- A Format also helps, if hidden files, or any unpartitioned parts of the memory capacity take away.

When Formatting through Windows doesn't help, you can resort to a free program so your USB-Stick to display again the correct memory:
- Download the "HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool" and install it.
- Start the program and select under "Device" your USB-Stick. Set the "File System" is "NTFS" and click "Start". Confirm the Popup with "Yes".
- After formatting your USB should Stick back to the original memory size.
