You will find on your Computer the "Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface" this is not a dangerous Software. We will show you what is hidden behind the service and whether you really need it.
Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface - what is it?
The Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface enables the exchange of data over the Internet. Thus, you can use your Computer on IPv6 access, even though the Hardware only supports IPv4.
The service is started, it communicates, under certain circumstances, continuous with the Microsoft Teredo servers. This communication does not slow down, however, your Internet connection or your Computer.
On some Windows computers, the service is started, always. For the normal user, the use is not worthwhile, however. Only when a program uses explicitly the Teredo Tunneling Pseudo Interface, is it enabled to the right.
Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface disable - how it works
Even if the Teredo is not used for Tunneling Pseudo Interface, most of the users, it does not disturb the operation. Deactivation is therefore not absolutely necessary.
Open the control panel and select the category "network and Internet" "network and sharing center".
Click change to the left on "change adapter settings" and right-click to open the LAN Adapter properties.
Uncheck the Option "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPV6)" and close the window with the "OK"Button.
Just an fyi, I found teredo tunneling turned off last night while searching to resolve and issue I was having, ended up not having anything to do with teredo, but while investigating, I found a microsoft forum where people were looking how to turn it back on. Apparently turning it on is the fix for connection issures on X-box live. Everyone was reporting that it fixed their issue. Just thought I'd leave that if it helps somone.
