Trouble-free online play on the PS4 you need to go to a port forwarding in your Router. Read in this practical tip the exact procedure.

1. IP of Playstation find out

Before you can perform the port forwarding on the Router, you need the IP of the Playstation:
  1. To do this, start the Playstation and press the [PS] key.
  2. You go to the "settings" and then to "network".
  3. Open the "connection status" and make a note of the displayed IP address.

2. These Ports need to unlock:

  • 465 (TCP)
  • 983 (TCP)
  • 1935 (TCP)
  • 3478-3480 (TCP)
  • 5223 (TCP)
  • 10070-10080 (TCP)
  • 3478 (UDP)
  • 3479 (UDP)
  • 3658 (UDP)
  • 10070 (UDP)

3. Network Ports open

Proceed as follows to the above-mentioned Ports in your network unlock:
  1. Open the administration interface of your router. Normally, this is under "192.168.178.1" / "192.168.0.1" or "speedport.ip" or "fritz.to reach box". Depending on the manufacturer this can vary.
  2. Look for the Option "port forwarding". Please note that you only switch the above-mentioned Ports, as well as the proper protocols (TCP or UDP) free.
  3. Save your Changes and check to see if you have an Internet connection with the Playstation 4.
