Instructions: Steam Mobile Authenticator set up
The Steam Mobile Authenticator is generated for every Login in your Steam Account a Code on your mobile phone. Only if you are in possession of your smartphone, you can login now with the password and Code in your Account. For hackers, it is almost impossible to take over your Steam Account.
- Download first the free App Steam Mobile app for iOS or Android.
- Log in to your Account, you will receive the first time you use a Code by Mail.
- Type in the Code and a name for the Smartphone. You confirm your input, you can use the App.
- Open the top left menu and select the category "Steam Guard".
- Via the Button "Authenticator to add" you can enter your phone number and confirm.
- Now enter the Code from the SMS in the App to confirm your phone number.
- The displayed recovery code should you write or a Screenshot of the secure.
- The Steam Mobile Authenticator is now set up and ready to go.

Steam Mobile Authenticator when you Login
- You open the Steam App on your Smartphone, you will find the five digit Code in the category of "Steam Guard". You are not logged in, you will find the Code on the Login screen.
- To test the Login, open Steam on your Computer and click on the top left under "Steam" to "switch user". Then you can log off and log back on.
- Log in with your password, you will be asked then after the Code. This is generated in the App every 30 seconds. Enter the current Code, you will be logged in on Steam.
