League of Legends: Problem with black screen fix
- Simultaneously press the keys [Windows] and [E], so that the Explorer opens.
- Navigate to the path "C:\Programme\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\solutions\lol_game_client_sln\releases\DATA\CFG", or you will have to copy the file path in the Explorer bar.
- You should now have the file "game.cfg" you can find. Here you can adjust the settings. More on this in the next paragraph.
- You can't find the path, you can choose via a right-click on the Desktop shortcut to League of Legends, the Option "file path" open. About the search in the top right corner of the window, you can now "game.cfg" 're looking for.
League of Legends display settings to adjust
- Click with the right mouse button on the file "game.cfg" and select "Open with" the "Editor".
- Now, find the lines "Width=xxx" and "Height=xxxxx". Here is an incompatible resolution. Here, you can select a different resolution.
- Tip: Click with the right mouse button on the Desktop and select "screen resolution". Here are the latest and LoL compatible resolution.
- Are you looking for in the file "game.cfg" also after the line "user setresolution=x". For the "x" you must use a 1. The line is not present, add this at the end of the file itself.
- Save the Changes via "file" and "Save" or the key combination [Ctrl] + [S] and start League of Legends again.
