You have opened with your Android Smartphone a Wi-Fi Hotspot, you can rename this and give it a unique name. In this practical tip we will show you how this works.

Wi-Fi Hotspot under Android to open and rename

  1. You open with your Smartphone the menu and then go to the "settings".
  2. Scroll to "Wireless & networks" and click on "More...".
  3. Click here on the Option "Tethering & portable Hotspot". Then you need to select "Wi-Fi Hotspot setup".
  4. Under "network SSID" you can rename the input field, the access point now.
  5. After you have clicked on "Save", find other people your Wi-Fi Hotspot under the new name.
